This picture is one I actually took myself when I took a trip to Egypt in May 2012. The shot size I would say is that its a long shot. I guessed this because you can see the surroundings away from the focus point.
This picture was interesting to me because its taken from a low level which enables us to see the ripples from the swimming pool. The clour of the blue pool contrasts nicely with the neutral colours of the floor and rocks. The denotes of this picture are the rocks, slide, swimming pool, palm trees and a few hotel blocks.
What this picture connotes to me is that the day was quite windy when it was taken, we can assume this by the angle the trees are. Also I feel quite calmed when I see this picture because of the way all the colours contrast nicely creating a calming atmosphere. What also really captures my eye is that beautiful pink sky when the sun is setting after a hot day.
The reason I actually chose this picture was because it is one picture that I took myself so it has more meaning to me. Also different people would feel different emotions from this picture. It reminds me of the holiday destination that I always went to over 4 years and also makes me think of all the lovely people I met too.
